PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

The high-grade filmed bamboo form board range from KEXIN, has been designed specifically for high quality concrete forming and false-work. Our products are best suited for concrete forming applications in areas with high requirements on concrete surfaces and finishes for projects and areas such as:

  • Buildings
  • Girders and columns on highways
  • Cross bridges
  • Cross roads
  • Dams
  • Tunnels
Our range of form board products ensure that we offer the correct type of form board to meet any requirement our customers need. Accordingly our products are suited for high specification concrete forming, whether used for pouring/casting of slabs or decks, columns and ideally for fitment in forming tables and panels. PRODUCT FEATURES AND KEY BENEFITS:

  • Extremely strong and robust.
  • Deflection strength of 8-10 times that of traditional plywood and laminated wood form boards. (see design data)
  • Surface area is equal to the area of 7 pieces of 1500x300mm of steel templates (reduces the number of wooden support beams required – speeds up mounting and dismounting of templates, which saves time, work and material).
  • Flat and perfectly smooth surface for high grade concrete finishes.
  • A long service life with many re-uses, thus reducing the cost per pour/use.(see product range, click here)
  • Both sides of the template can be used

    WHY DO WE USE BAMBOO
  • China’s bamboo resources are both rich as well as superior in quality and KEXIN only purchases the raw material from correctly managed bamboo forests for continual supply of quality bamboo.
  • Recognised as renewable, sustainable, highly efficient and a environmentally friendly “green” product used for building and construction applications.
  • The bamboo species, Phyllostachys pubescens (also known as Mao, Moso or hairy bamboo) has the best natural qualities for raw material to be used in the production of bamboo construction products, namely:

    Consistent wall thickness

    Solid structure

    High density

    High strength

    Natural water resistance.

    Excellent bonding capabilities

1) Number of plies means the number of bamboo curtains (weaved bamboo strips) in use.
2) A thickness off set will only be applicable if the twice forming production process is not used.
3) Twice forming is a process that ensures an accurate thickness.

1) All figures are averages obtained from a SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) test report dated 2009-03-13.
2) Modulus of rupture (bend strength or fracture strength) is measured in terms of stress, and thus is expressed in units of pressure (or stress, the two being equivalent). The value represents the highest stress experienced within the material at its moment of rupture.
3) In a bending test, the highest stress is reached on the surface of the sample. Deflection measured at moment of rupture.
